The 5063-539L engine is a six-cylinder V6 configuration two-stroke turbocharged diesel engine by Detroit Diesel with 53cid (Cubic Inch Displacement) per cylinder, Model 6V53T. The 6V53T engine has a total displacement of 318 cubic inches and can produce up to 275 brake horsepower.

The 6V53T engine is used in the M113A3 Family of the M113 Armored Vehicle Family. The 5063-539L engine was introduced to the M113A3 Family of Vehicles to replace the original 5063-5393 powerpack improving performance through insulated exhaust system and improved cold starting by using glow plugs. The two-stroke diesel has a maximum speed of 2850 RPM and a small, light package compared to its maximum torque rating.
