4820-01-235-1443 Blower Bypass Valve 8924561

Used on Detroit Diesel T Engines (Turbocharged) fitted on the Blower (Supercharger) to allow the blower to unload when the Turbo boost pressure reaches sufficient pressure for the supercharger to be no longer creating additional pressure. By unloading the blower, it allows the engine to produce more power at the crankshaft as up to 150 HP of power normally used to drive the supercharger is relieved. One or two bypass valves (single or Dual Bypass) may be fitted to a supercharger. Different size valves, Mini, Midi and Full Bypass are available from Detroit Diesel.
