We will try to cut the length ordered from a reel as a single continuous piece of wire wherever possible. Lengths equal to or greater than the length of wire on a reel will be provided as full reels plus one piece of continuous wire for the remainder wherever possible.

This wire is manufactured by a Qualified Manufacturer from the Qualified Products List Database (QPL / QPD) and can be supplied with certifications and test reports. We maintain traceability by manufacturing Lot should it be required in the future.

M13486/1-2 is composed of a stranded tinned copper conductor and Hypalon (CSPE) insulation. This cable has a temperature range of -65°C to +90°C. This 18 AWG cable has resistance to fungus, weather, liquids, and abrasion. This flexible cable may be used on all types of military ground vehicles, including tanks, trailers, trucks, and jeeps.

18 AWG rated wire is used on circuits with minimal current requirements such as instrumentation circuits, sensors, and LED lights.

The MIL-DTL-13486 specification special purpose electrical cable is offered in single and multi-conductor options that can be supplied with or without a shield.
