Power Take Off (PTO)

The Power Take Off (PTO) in the M2 or M3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle connects the engine to a generator, a hull fan, and a water pump:
- The PTO directly connects to the engine to drive the generator.
- The PTO shaft and torque coupler connect the engine to the hull fan.
- The hull fan runs continuously when the engine is on to cool the engine compartment and hull.
- The engine also belt-drives a water pump.
